Privacy
We collect almost nothing, because almost nothing is needed to show you prices.
No tracking, with or without an account
- An account is optional and the site does not need one. Every page, every price and every search works signed out, and nothing is withheld until you sign in.
- We run no analytics, no advertising and no session-recording scripts of any kind. There is no third-party JavaScript on this site.
- We set two cookies, both only in the act of signing in. One keeps you signed in and holds a random string and nothing else: no name, no email, nothing readable. The other lasts ten minutes and exists to carry you safely to your sign-in provider and back. Both are named, with what they hold and how long they last, on the cookies page. Signed out, this site sets no cookie at all.
- We do not build a profile of you. Nothing here is personalised to who you are, and having an account does not change that: we do not record what you looked at, searched for or clicked on, so there is nothing to attach to an account even when there is one.
If you do sign in
Signing in happens through Google, Apple or Facebook. We are never given your password, and we never ask for one, because there is no password on this site to ask for. We do not post anything to those accounts and we do not read anything from them beyond the answer to one question: who is this.
What we keep is your email address, the name the service gave us, which country’s prices you chose, and the date you joined. That is the complete list, and your account page shows you all of it at once rather than making you ask.
You can delete it, immediately, from that page. It removes the account, every way of signing in to it and every session on every device. There is no waiting period, no copy kept and nothing for you to email us about.
What we do record
When someone follows a link to a retailer, we record that a click happened: which offer it was for, which country, and which kind of page it came from. There is no identifier of any kind attached to it. Not your account: the record has no column that could hold one, signed in or not. Not a device or browser identifier either. We can see that a product was clicked; we cannot see who clicked it, and the records cannot be joined back to a person.
We keep it so we can tell which products are useful, and so we can check a retailer’s own reporting against ours.
Anything you save stays on your device
Favourites are stored by your browser, on the machine you saved them on. They are never sent to us and we have no way to read them. Clearing your browser data clears them, and they will not follow you to another device.
Where you go next
Following a link takes you to a retailer’s own site, where their privacy policy applies and not ours. The link carries a code identifying us as the referrer so any commission is attributed correctly. It carries nothing about you.
We also send those links with a no-referrer policy, so the retailer is not told which page of ours you came from.
The ordinary technical minimum
Like any website, our hosting provider processes the requests needed to serve pages, which involves your IP address in transit. We do not use it to identify you and we do not keep our own log of it.
Questions
Signed out, we hold nothing that identifies you, so there is generally nothing of yours for us to find, correct or delete. With an account, everything we hold is on your account page, where you can read it and delete it yourself without asking anyone. If you want to ask about any of this, get in touch and we will answer plainly.
